Attorney Amanda Ghannam Appointed to City of Dearborn Board of Ethics

AMG Legal’s Managing Attorney, Amanda M. Ghannam, has been appointed by Mayor Abdullah Hammoud to serve on the City of Dearborn’s Board of Ethics.

The Board of Ethics is a city commission established by Section 3.4 of the City Charter. Its primary function is to render advisory opinions and conduct investigations with respect to the meaning and application of provisions of the charter and ordinances establishing standard of conduct for City officers and employees. The Board consists of five members, including three private citizens, the Corporation Counsel, and the director of Human Resources. Private citizen members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. The Board’s work is to ensure that city officials and employees adhere to ethical standards in their conduct, promoting transparency and accountability.
