Who We Are

Amanda M. Ghannam

is an experienced attorney specializing in employment discrimination and civil rights law. Amanda has secured jury verdicts in federal First Amendment trials, been affirmed by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, won preliminary injunctions in federal police misconduct litigation, and has secured countless settlements for clients who were wrongfully terminated.

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor with a specialization in Labor, Work, and Income from Northeastern University School of Law. Amanda then spent seven years at Michigan employment and civil rights firms, including two years as a managing partner of Schulz Ghannam PLLC, before founding AMG Legal PLLC.

Amanda serves as a Cooperating Attorney to the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan and Of Counsel to Nova Legal Group PLLC. 

Amanda received the Detroit Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award in 2022 and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan - Wayne’s Honorable Kirsten Frank Kelly Award in 2024. She was named to Thomson Reuters SuperLawyer’s “Rising Stars” list in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
